At Aqua Therapy Tubs, we recently had the pleasure of completing a beautiful bathroom remodel that blends custom design with luxurious function. The project involved several key elements that came together to transform the space into a serene, modern retreat.
The process began with the demolition of the old tile shower, valve, and pan, followed by the careful removal and hauling away of all debris. To keep the home clean and minimize dust, we used a HEPA dust collection system throughout the demolition phase. With the space cleared, we were able to focus on building the new, custom-designed features.
One of the standout elements of this remodel was the custom tile shower, which included a low-threshold curb and walls tiled with sleek 12×24″ ceramic tiles. The shower pan was tiled with a mosaic selected by the client, adding a personal touch to the space. We also made sure all seams were waterproofed and sealed, ensuring the shower would stand the test of time.
We also incorporated a custom lighted shampoo niche, which provided both storage and style. The niche was built and waterproofed to the customer’s specifications and was wired to the existing can light, ensuring both functionality and a touch of elegance.
Another highlight of the remodel was the installation of a stunning freestanding tub, paired with a wall-mounted faucet in a beautiful bronze finish. This luxurious tub became the centerpiece of the bathroom, offering both visual appeal and relaxation. To complement the tub, we installed a travertine mosaic floor beneath it, and travertine back walls added a timeless and sophisticated feel to the entire space.
As we continued with the remodel, we focused on details like the vanity light installation, where we supplied and installed a new light fixture and made the necessary electrical adjustments to accommodate it. We also installed a frameless glass shower door with oil-rubbed bronze hardware, giving the shower a sleek, modern look.
To complete the shower, we installed two shower valves with new shower heads, handheld wands, and a rain head. All fixtures were chosen in a matching bronze finish to complement the overall design, enhancing the luxurious feel of the space. Additionally, we swapped out the original shower fixtures for new models, providing a seamless and cohesive look throughout the bathroom.
Throughout the remodel, we also handled all necessary drywall repairs and texture work, matching the existing texture to maintain the home’s original style. While painting services weren’t included, we were happy to recommend a trusted professional for that final finishing touch.
